BTW: steering on either is rough at these high speeds. If you're running a 2 batt mod, unless you pop a 1.0 or 1.6 motor in there you probably won't be able to do much track racing that winds...

I think you can get these at some wal-marts now. Fast, but not good steering. Just OEMs. Good clone for the price. Cost $13 out of the store so you really aren't saving much.

There's no reason not to use NiMhs... They have better capacity and much less memory effect. The good stuff is in Lithium Ion rechargeables. Those are a little trickied to implement though.
