Zip Zap range

I pickedup one of the Nakamichi N Racer Bit clones tonight at Wal Mart. 14 bucks...same frequency as my zap. Controller works great with the Zap. My 27 mhz Zap had crap for range. With the Naka controller it is at least doubled. I can run it down the length of my kitchen without so much as a shiver. With the Zap controller the car would stop after about 5 feet. I post this because I know some people are not comfortable with a sodering iron and this is a fairly cheap solution if you don;t want to change the antenna on the controller. Plus I find the Naka controller more comfortable to use.

I just bought 2 microsizers today to go with my zipzap and I noticed that when I used the microsizer controler I got at least double the range with my zipzap. I got a good 30-40 feet in side with my antenna mod(pick below)... The only bad thing is reverse/forward is backwards.

Are these the cars you bought?

http://www.nahpco.com/smallest_radio...olled_cars.htm

This company is selling cars in cases of 48 (with 4 different frenquencies) for $12 a piece including shipping. There's a bunch of guys at work and I who want to split a case, but wanted to know if anyones seen these cars anywhere.

They look like the ones on your page shadoe, but wanted to know if they are Bit-G clones, and if the parts will work.

Please post and let me know! Tahnks.

can't speak for the capabilities of the cars/controllers, but i'd be cautious when a cashiers check or money order is required, and a credit card cannot be used - you have no recourse if the items are delayed, or even worse, not shipped... caveat emptor!

unless of course, $600 is chump change...

btw, consider that if the items are going to be shipped from outside the U.S. there will have to be customs declarations (and perhaps charges?)

I think you can get these at some wal-marts now. Fast, but not good steering. Just OEMs. Good clone for the price. Cost $13 out of the store so you really aren't saving much.

$600's not chump change, but when you have 20 guys going in for $24 a piece, we're not too worried. Most are buying for Xmas gifts for the kids, or novelty items for dad's, brothers, etc.

Didn't think about import taxes, so that's a consideration. Saw these at Walmart? Any links on their web site to them? What is the "american" name of the car?

I'm just pissed I bought a 27mhz ZZ before reading the posts on this site!!!!!!! Distance sucks! I'm going to mod the antenna.
