Soldering
Please note, soldering should be conducted, in a well-ventilated area, by an experienced hobbyist. Steps should be taken not to breath in solder and flux fumes or burn oneself. Be careful NOT to overheat these cells!!!!

A black and purple wire is connected to the negative terminal on one of the batteries that goes to the switch and charging jack. The positive terminal should be labeled with a sticker; it is also the top of the double battery stack; it just has a black wire soldered to it.

Step 1: Carefully YANK the thin metal tab that is spot-welded to the negative terminal off.

Step 2: Un-solder the black and purple wire from the metal tab. Be careful not to overheat the cell or melt the insulation of the wires. The two wires should still be connected together. If they are not, re-solder them.

Step 3: Tin the now fully exposed negative terminal with solder.
