Step 4: Take the tab on the positive terminal and bend it over on itself using needle nose pliers. This step is necessary because in stock form the end of the tab is hovering where the negative terminal of the 4th battery will be. If they came in contact, your battery would short out.







Step 5: Now start to prep the new 4th battery and get it ready for instillation. Tin both ends of the battery. The 4th battery in the picture had a tab already spot-welded to the positive terminal so it will be utilized.

Step 6: For this example, the tab was shortened. Solder it to the negative terminal from the battery pack. Try and make this second stack of batteries as short as the original stack. It will fit back in the battery tray easier.

Step 7: Now solder the purple and black wires to the negative terminal of the 4th battery. The 4-cell pack is now complete!
