Step 7: Turn the chassis over and take out the above 3 screws. The one in the middle goes through the
rear spring and the two on the ends hold down the top part of the chassis. The red arrows in the
following picture are pointing to these screws.
Step 8: Now carefully pull off the top chassis plate. Don't worry if everything just spills out.
It is a good idea to LEAVE the black tape that holds the potentiometer wires to the top of the chassis
in place. This will prevent incorrect alignment of the potentiometer during reassembly.
Step 9: Remove and set aside some loose parts. Start at the front with the steering link,
servo gear set, and servo motor for the steering. The motor may have to be gently pulled out
from the servo gear set. It is perfectly all right to leave the motor and potentiometer dangling.
The kingpins should stay in the top part of the chassis. They appear to be pressed in, so there
is no need to disturb them.
Step 10: Remove the battery box from the chassis (if it has not fallen out already) and then remove
the battery pack from it. The rear pod should now be easily removable; also take off the rear spring.
