Tnks Deadite! Be a intering one to get and try grounding the boost pin on the TX2 chip in the controller!
Actualy pay pay 3% is not that bad since MC & Visa charge a business between 2 to 5% on a purchase by their card.

Actually, and I don't mean to disparage junkyspot, but what they are doing is completely illegal, as outlined in the PayPal User Agreement:
Quote:

No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods).

I'm afraid so. I've seen other stores do this, it is always illegal for any store that says it accepts Visa/MC/Amex by any method, PayPal or otherwise, to charge an additional fee or percentage. If they are found out then the CC companies come down hard on them and they can't take CCs any more. It is a cost of business that companies must absorb otherwise they violate their CC agreements.

That's not good. I guess that's one of the reasons accepting paypal and credit cards is a big step.

Those little "things" that other companies do is why I have ordered from tinyrc.com. I have read previously before placing my order that this sight does you right. (Do you hear the wosh of the sucking up sound) hehhehe ... tinyrc I love your sight.... I assume you started out as just a hobby sight ... and then started to sell?

That car is really sweet looking. How do you like the boost option? Where did you buy it?

Bought it at a local import toy store, but you can get it online at any number of places.
The booster part is the same as any of the other booster machines that Tomy makes.. it increases voltage to the engine and ups the speed dramatically when you press the button.
Actually, I'm surprised Radio Shack didn't put a boost button on their ZipZaps, since they had a "NOS" motor.. it'd be like them "hitting the nawz" in FatF.
Anyways, the boost that it gives is so much that, with a 2.6 motor in the car, if I try turning at all, I flip over several times.

Re: Rant
You have a choices as to how companies do this. Some will represent it as a handling charge, others will increase the product price to cover their costs and yet others - such as Junky Spot - will be honest enough to call it what it is. He could just as easily increase his prices to cover his costs.
By the way, Junky doesn't hide this fact. He advertising it right on his site where it discusses payment options.

Be warned I read that Junky shop charges 3% for paypal fees. http://www.junkyspot.com/ordering.html ... I would look at the guy I listed too and see if they ship to Canada and if they have hidden fees like junky does. I don't know how you pay but I pay paypal and think that is bunk that they want us the customer to pay their fees. I may be nuts but isn't a fee they pay to a company say credit card/paypal a cost of them doing business. I think it's rather in your face to say hey we're gonna charge you more....makes no sense why not sell your stuff for $34.99 and not even have to charge fees to your customer.

Well then he should charge a dollar more on his kits and not penilize people who use credit cards. As tinyrc pointed out that guy is breaking paypal policy by offloading his cost of business (card fees) on the customer. If the guy was smart he would just minute ammount more and not be charges 3% (random number) to the people who shop his site.
