Red Nissan 350Z Range Problem

Here's a weird one. I have a 60-7021 Red Nissan 350Z that I purchased sometime during the middle of last year. The car has only been run four or five times, and from what I remember, the range was excellent (approx. 35-45 feet out in my driveway).

Anyhow, I haven't run the car since sometime last year, and when giving it a spin today I noticed that the range had drop considerably... prolly only 15 feet or less -

I've tried new fresh batteries in the controller (of course) but unfortunately this didn't seem to help any.

The chassis looks like brand new, never been modded, dropped or otherwise misused, and I ohmed out the antenna which checks out good.

Any ideas, or has anyone ever come across something like this before? Needless to say, the car isn't under warranty anymore, arrghhh, only ran the thing four or five times previously -

OK folks, problem solved -

I simply swapped out the PC board with another ZipZaps car (60-7014) that had a broken chassis... range is as it should be now, 35-45+ feet or so -

Dunno what could have possibly happened to the bad PC board, must simply be a defect. Drives me nutz with as little usage that the car had, and of course, it's not under warranty anymore <aarrgghh>.
