Bozz Speed's '500-600' HP track Evo VI
That thing ran on a relatively stock transmission with that much crank HP and ran some damn good lap times at the track.
... course the tranny was also smoking after a single lap, but that's the price you pay for not upgrading your tranny

ok guys,
About the civics, They cost about 20,000 new rite? or 18. Why dnt u do wut i am doing! i only have about 3 grand saved to spend. im buying a USED 1993 MR2. now, they cost about 2k 2 3k. in too more years i think id have atleast 4k or 3,500. with the money left over i could supe up my MR2 which is nicer, RR, 2 seater, light, targa top, leather seats, ABS, Airbags, all the goodies.
Now if you wanna go even cheaper, get yourself an 1989 RX7. These cars are REALLY cheap. I saw one for sale with a turbo in it for 1,500. No damage nothing. now with 3,500 that i have left over i could sup the hell outa the engine. (mind i wnt mod the outside until i overkill my engine LOL) so basically ull see an ugly RX-7 with hub cap rims and some missing, no body kits, no wings, no stickers. Ull want to race me uin ur civic and ull think ull beat me cuz u dnt see anything OUTSIDE. Then ill saw alrite buddy lets go and poof ill be gone! u wouldnt even noe wut happend.
In conclusion, DNT WASTE UR MONEY ON FF CRAP (civic....)

Wise Man Says:
don't "supe" up old cars, all you will get it broke pistons, rings, and just about anything that makes the car run, most cars with more than 100-150K on them are about to die, and adding exhuast, intakes, and turbos ext... all put more and more pressure on the engine, making it die even faster... unless u wanna spend ALOT more money for rebuilding an engine or replacing transmissions, i would say go with a car that is slighty used and only had owners that are at least 95+ But thats just my 2 cents...

there is no limit on hp in japan. 206kW(280bhp) is the voluntary power limit agreed to by vehicle manufactures in Japan to prevent power wars between manufactures.

omfg. you people are ridiculous. i joined this forum just to post here and set a few things straight.
- civics can reach about 400 hp with the right internals and turbo
- why do people like roger foo run civics and team realtime racing run integra type rs if the ff platform sux so bad. btw - team realtime cleans up in road races (against bmw, ford, etc)
- what's wrong with a civic that you spend low 20s on that can spank most anything under 45 grand?
- mr2s are cool and all, but i'm yet to lose to one (even those running 12 lbs of boost) but that's just me in my civic.
- mr2s are not cheap to mod at all - actually one of the more expensive cars to make fast.
- 4 cylinder potential? can you say eclipse (i've seen many 400+ whp dsm cars), toyota (supra racers in japan have replaced the 6 cyl with the 4 for weight savings and lost no power), even the tundra motor is used by drag racers pushing 800 whp. even chevy produces mass power with their new ecotec with their races teams. ugh, when a 11 second 4 cylider smokes your corvair, i hope you cry.
- even before i sc'd my civic, i still cleaned up most v8s at autocross events, and 99% of miatas (to kill the rwd argument).
- most cool import guys don't like having a big ass exhaust - they need to for forced induction applications - duh
i guess what i'm saying it, if you live cars, then post like you know something. if not, go back to your bitcharg boi
god bless.

lol very well said jrsi!
dont forget about the God of imports now...
the skyline gt-r evo ll cranks 535hp stock... and at the dealerships in japan they ask if you want the "power package" for an extra 5k. which will boost your car up to 900hp... technally stock...
Civics ARE fast... if i had the money i could easily make a 400HP civic. the reason people buy them is they are cheap, easy for mods (with the abundance of aftermarket parts), and lightweight.
and to alex... WHAT THE HELL DO YOU EAT MAN?!? your 14 and 5'10? GODDAMN! i'm turning 19 and 5'10... well im also asian so thats prob why.. =P

Jrsi.....
I never said anything about Integras.... Just civics piss me off and they ARE slow. i can get an MR2 to 560hp ALL MOTOR. NO BOOSTS. and if u want i could add lets say 200 SHOT OF NITRIOUS???? (Overkill LOL) ok lets say 60.... And no MR2s are not expensive to mod at all!! they have soooooooooooo many aftermarket parts civics couldnt beat it and they are the cars that have the most parts manufactured for them.
Arive2Defy-
Yes Skylines are may fav cars! i love the 33 and 34. They rock! those cars are hella fast! i saw an R33 with 1000 HP at an import show. Thats more HP than the shuttle that takes u to the parking lot at disney lol. But the only set back is that the Skylines ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE! I went to a web site to see stock price for an R34 IT WAS 94K!!! I NEARLY PEED MAH PANTS! I hope i get to be a millionair lol i want one soooo sooo bad!
BTW heres a nice R34 Spec2 Nismo Tuned Skyline

first off, civics are the most popular and tuned car ever. They have now reached the 7's in the 1/4 runs. faster then most other imports. so take that MR2 fans! =P LISA KUBO 4 life! (actually i like her cuz shes a girl and runs 10 or below..)
the skyline gt-r's are CHEAP!!! lol very actually! i have friends who visited japan over the summer and the car is actually like 20-30k over there hahahah! but to import them here, get them DOT certified, de-turn and do all that crap... its gonna add up to 70k+
motorex.com is selling skylines... some of the old ones you can get for 20-30k (also have r34s). they selling a r32 i believe for like 25k? my friend had 15k saved.. he might get one!
anyhoo there is my 2 cents. have a good day sir s('.^)V

first off realtime races the integras, roger foo races civics as do others. most people know there isn't a whole lot of difference between the two cars. the civic is lighter, the integra is more sport tuned from the factory (but who really cares about that).
about the mr2 having more parts... are you smoking crack? there are parts, but very limited choices, and very pricey at that (i'm talking exhausts, not mufflers). do you realized there are probably 15+ exhausts out for the 6th gen civic?
i just read your post again, aren't all mr2s turbo? don't get me wrong here, i think mr2s are some of the more jdm cars you can get here and i like them, but 500 hp is completely impossible naturally aspirated. you don't see numbers that high without boost buddy.
and if you do have a nice all motor car, you don't put naaaws on it. not that big of a shot at least. you do realize most imports can only run like a 100 shot, 150 tops (if they are very serious about the funny stuff). most guys with naaaaaws are only running a 50 shot. and another thing, the shot of nitrous does not equal the hp that it produces. duh.
3500 isn't going to get you very far into motor work either, by the time you upgrade your stuff and get engine management, that'll be gone.
oh, and btw, you should've bougt a 240 instead.
