New MotorWorks Car

Just stopped in Wal-Mart and found a new MW car. It comes in a square bubble(see pic) and has a bunch of extras with it.

1 set of knobby tires
1 set of rear slicks
1 nose cone
1 super charger
1 set of hub caps

and it all stores in a compartment in the charger base.

The charger base is huge 5"L x 3"W x 1-1/2"D and takes 3 AA batts.

The controler is tiny 2-1/4"W x 2-1/2"L x 1"D and takes 3 AAA

The body kinda looks like a Dodge Charger with a blower sticking out of the hood

hogjowlz

it was $13.88

Motor is hard wired and you can't remove the axle unless you pull the wheels off (no bottom access like the old ones)

Steering is ok same set-up as the old ones (2 magnets and a center coil)

That blower makes it all worth while... if not the blower then the knobbies, that's just too cool. So hows the range on it, telescopic and 3AAA's gotta mean something?!

Truthfully, if the MotorWorks motors were exchangeable and they started putting out hop-ups, Bits/Sizers/Zips would have their best competitor yet. I loved the old ones and i'm going really LOVE the new ones.

I just tried out the range in my apartment hallway it went about 60ft before it died. The antane is 9" and it comes with a extar super charger so you can swap out the blower

Dutch, what part of WalMart did you find them? Were they with the HotWheels and other R/C's or in a special area? Were they hanging up or on a shelf?

Holy Crap! On 2 counts... number 1; that's some sick range and number 2; I just realized what the car looks like, I think it's knock-off of 'The Last of the V-8's' you know the one from Mad Max and The Road Warrior... the grey headlight covers give it away!

Question

Cool clone.

Can you post some closeup pics of the tires that came with the set? And are the tires interchangeable with a Bit chassis?

Ok here is a pic of the knobbies, They will fit on bit rims.
The stanard tires and the extra drag silcks will not work, there to fat and rub on the chassie

Knobbie----------Standard MW tire

Bit Tire------------MW Drag Silck
