4 quad battery mod-Stealth- super fast

I just want to let people know that it is possible to put 4 batteries in the zipzaps. I was able to do it with a little bit of patience. Basically its 3 cells in the chassis and 1 on the motor. Unfortunally to make this all fit under one body you have to do a pcb swap and have the pt crusier body.

It is very fasst. I put a volt meter on the motor terminals and found that 4.8 volts running through it. I had originally planned to do this mod on a bit char but there are too many disadvangages-
The small wheels in the front cause it to flip over easily
The front steering setup sucks- Cannot handle the speeds and will weave left and right.
The bit-char clone chassis is too small for fit multiple batteries under a body unless a huge amount of modifications are made.

My current setup of is
4 quad battery mod
23,000 motor with red gears
pcb swap

(I have tried a 3.0 motor and its was fast once the car got moving after a few seconds but top speed was not too noticable difference from the 23,000 motor. I am planning on getting a 3.5 motor since I heard they have a good balance of speed and torque.

If you would like to see a pic or a video please post your request.

Nice.
I've got another way to do the same thing but fit it under the pcb.

I will post one the video on wednesday. The car is really fast. Too fast actually that at work where I can really let the car go on the large tile floor it will flip over after a few feet.

But the few times I can actually get the car not to flip over its going so fast it look like you will run someone over. I actually think that the steering systems on these cars have to much play in it combined with the rubber tires which grip well it causes the car to flip when accelerating from a stand still. In order for me to get it to go straight without fliping I have to tap the forward button a couple of times to slowly accelerate and then I can hold the button and gun it.

Do you have the same problem or have a technique or mod to keep it from flipping?

Really I saw the post. Were you able to fit it all under the stock body? And do you have a pic of it. I could fit one more battery but it would be on the outside of the car.

I will be posting a video soon and a pic.

What PCB did you swap in? Can it take 4.8V?

Yes. It was able to handle the 4.8 volts. The pcb came from a bit char clone called a fit racer. I am trying to see if I can push 7.2 volts.

Just to give an update. The clone pcb is pretty smart. Its shuts off when it get 7.2 volts. As soon as I took off one battery and it magically worked. So when I charge the battery I have to use 6 ( 9volts) alk batteries and the car does not respond to the remote. As soon as I stop charging the car it works fine. Unfortunally due to the small size of the batteries, 6volts 40mah the car only runs for about 1 1/2 minutes with full power. Then runs increasly slowly for only about 30 seconds as the battery drains.

Video links finally here. You may need to download divx to view them. Please let me know what you think. And do you have a video of you car thats faster???

1st video- 23,000 rpm motor red gears- 4 batteries

http://members.aol.com/buycompuparts/4cell-1a.wmv

http://members.aol.com/buycompuparts/4cell-1a.wmv

2nd video- same as about but the whining you hear is from the axel gear slipping on axel. I guess it got damaged by me pushing forward and then reverse. But its still pretty fast with it slipping like that.

Again if you got one faster please post a video. I would like to see and and find out what mods you did.
