Bit Propo Steering idea
With all of the electronics talk on this forum lately, I started to think about how Bit steering works. Basically what we have is a magnet suspended between 2 coils: when such a coil has current flowing through it, it creates its own magnetic field. The stronger the current, the stronger the field.
How Bits work is, when you push the left button on the controller, the pcb sends current into the left coils, which repels the magnet (since the steering linkage trails the spindle axis, this turns the wheels to the left).
The next logical leap is: how do we vary the current sent into the steering coils to produce proportional steering? My tiniy bit of electronics knowledge is very rusty... anyone got any ideas?
