Unhappy Skyline won't run straight!

I have used the steering trim on the controller but my skyline wont run straight. Is there a way to fix it by using purchasing the AWD kit or suspension kit? Any help will be appreciated.

take apart the front and take the horn off the servo. then turn the car and the controler on so that the servo centers and then re attach the horn so its straight up and down. then re assemble the front and see how it works.

the horn is the part that attaches to the servo its white and it has a little arm comming off it to make the car steer.

Here's a real quick writeup on it:

DISCLAIMER: If you destroy, mangle, disable, or otherwise damage your XMod, I am not responsible.

1.Take off your rims.

2.Undo the 6 screws on the bottom that hold the steering knuckles
and uprights on.

3.Flip it over and take off the two screws on the back half of the upper deck that hold it on.

4.Remove the upper deck with the steering knuckles, uprights and Upper A-arms still attached to it and set it aside.

5.You should now see the front part of the drive shaft, the tie rod and the white horn on the servo.

6.Undo the screw on the servo that holds the horn on.

7.Now, turn on the car and the controller and wait for the servo to center (less than a second).

8.On the horn which should still be removed at this point, you will see an arrow. Line this arrow up with the little mark on the servo and put the screw back in.

9.Reassemble the front by reversing steps 1-4 above.

I did this to mine last week and I haven't touched the trims since. It's always straight.

I forgot to add, it's a lot easier to reassemble the front if you take the shocks off first. Put them back on after you reassemble it.

I tried what you said to do, and still its not going straight. It curves alittle to the left though. Should I just get an exchange? I am tired of trying to figure how to fix the steering.

exchange it if you are that lazy, if it's mild click the steering trim untill it goes straight.
The real way to do it is remember which way it's pulling, and go ing there and re-set the horn again.

It's on there with a lot of itty bitty teeth, and you can take it off and move it over by one notch. Sometimes things are a little off- that's why it's great to be able to make small adjustments yourself.

I had to diss and re- assemble my front end about 4 times before I got mine straight.
The torque on the 4wd kind of made mine pull a little.

I've been looking around the forum and it seems people have steering problems with mostly white supras. I have a white supra with 4wd that won't run straight and so I decided to follow murcielago's tutorial. After 52 mins and 7 tries I finally got my supra to run straight and to my suprise run semi-straight in reverse. In reverse it curves a little to the right but I don't think anyone has an xmod that runs straight in reverse?

i have a white supra and i didnt have any problems with it. this is a problem with almost all factory assembeled r/c cars the trim is never straight. these things are almost like a real r/c car not the normal rs crap. they will need some adjusting to make them run properly.
