My First Attempt At An Internal Dual Cell..... Without a dremil

Well fist off i got sick of just taping the the up and doing a wheele and not getting any tracktion on the front tires so i decieded to have a shot at the internal dual cell

heres what i got

The top is crappy because it was originaly Glued on. Its an Australian Comact Char-G and they seem to glue the PCB cove on.

Oakee doke then...

What cells did you use? How did you fit'em w/o dremmeling?

"Honey I shrunk the cells"?

I see you flipped the pcb, but still it's tight.

I like that, its pretty slick how you flipped the PCB over and drilled the cover for clearance. A lot of the internal dual cells you see the PCB hanging loose or taped down, but I prefer your method

i used some 120mah batteries, they are sligtly smaller then the stock batteries

I used a stanley blade to cut the screw part and the bits that are suposed to hold the battery in, inlcuding the back wall.

because they were shorter then the stock batteries i didnt have to cut near the wheel arch, (just where the clips hold the car to the carger), if you get what i mean.

Nice work!
I agree, flipping over the PCB and making holes for the components so you can still use the cover is the only way to fly!
It looks great!

(You must be happy with the zoom zoom too!)

CONGRATS!!!

I'm sure I'm not the first one to mod the PCB cover, but your only the second person I've seen do that since I did mine up that way.
(welcome to the club?)

hey could you possibly take a photo of what's under the pcb for me? cuz i seen all these pics and people usually hack part of the side of the chassis away to fit the cells whereas you didnt.
