3.29:1 gear set mod!

I did this mod because I liked my Mario Kart wheels, but I
didn't want to be stuck with a 9.86:1 gear ratio in order to
use them.

I connected the two pinion gears with a bit racer gear, because the white pinion gears are designed to mesh with bit racer gears. The dual motors should have more than enough torque to handle this. The white pinion gear is exactly the same as the inner gear that turns the wheels in the orange set!

wouldnt that be just like running off one motor (the front one). i never understood the dual motor idea.

some clones have that goofy rim design as the mario and yoshi. i think cannonballs.

Nice job! But, uh, I don't get how it runs... there is the two motors, I get that, but why is there a idler gear on top of them?

Nevermind, I get it. The motor on the end would not touch the drive gear, so.... You put that gear in there as an idler gear, and so it is all in a chain like sort of thing... I'll try to draw a diagram:


....O < this is the idler gear
..O..O < these two on this line are the motors
O < this is the wheel and the gear

The back motor does not touch the drive gear. The front motor can work alone, as it would if I removed the idler gear.

The car would stall like crazy with only one motor, because it would not have enough torque for such a low gear ratio.
