Added cells yet?

Has anyone added cells to their Puchi yet?

Someone said that a 3cell Puchi is equal in speed to a 4cell Epoch Spec2. I don't believe it for a minute. It looks like a 2cell Puchi can get like 2-3 mph std. I don't think if you add 1 cell that would bring it up to 10mph, would it?

Hey, how fast/responsive is the steering. Is it slow and cruddy like the RS Viper/DG? Or is it nice like an Epoch? Do the tires have grippy tread, or slicks? How tight is the turning radius? Will they seat a family of 5?

no, it doesn't handle better than an Epoch Spec2 but almost just as well. and better if you consider it's scale. now that i've driven it more, i can tell that it's definitely as fast as any 3 cell bit, about as fast as a 4 cell epoch and faster than a digiQ. the only car that i have that is faster is my li-poly zipzap.

i just timed a run where i was on full throttle 90% of the time (doing ovals on hardwood flooring).i even threw in a few full throttle donuts to pull as much current as possible. it's run time was 25 minutes and 34 seconds!!!!!!! at 24 :15 i noticed it to slightly slow down, but not much.

the batteries temp was 91 degrees F, as was the motor. the servo motor's temp was 92 degrees. i believe that these are very safe temperatures for the batts and motors. (the room's ambient temp is 72 deg) btw, i took the temp readings with a laser-sighted Raytek temp gun, which i have found to be very acccurate.

the more i drive this car, the more i love it!!!

oh, and by the way, peak charging has nothing to do with how many cells are in the pack. the delta peak charger that's in the gun's voltage is set to charge the pack that is made up of two 120mah cells. that's why i use my Orbit, since it'll charge anything, and do it perfectly

No disr. man. It just seems unreal. If this is true, I mean really true, then bit's have just become a thing of the past. 1/60 scale fully propo no IR delay, 10mph!!! WOW!!! I am in awe.

Ahhhh... very good point, but if you can still get them for 50 bucks at rcmodels.com, then WOW!!! I spend 20-30 bucks on a microsizer locally. An extra 20 plus shipping would get you the ultimate table car, in my opinion.

I was just mussing around with a Zip Zap track on my kitchen table and made a weird figure 8 kidney-style track and noticed that I cannot run my 2 or 3 cell cars on it because even with the boost off they are too fast. However on the straights and jumps they are fine. I have a clone PCB in a MS chassis with a green ZZ motor(slow) and low low gears. That's the only car I can run on a technical track that is 4 foot by 4 foot or so. None of my other cars are any fun unless I have at least 8x8 feet to play. The 3cell Puchi seems to be the greatest thing I have seen yet for tiny racing. Enough punch and power to push through a sliding turn, or hit a jump. Enough speed contol to slow down for the technical stuff.

I wonder how long it will last with the added cell. Probably indefinately (until the cells need repl.) it sounds. If it's not getting hot or fritzing out, I gotta get one.

Thanks for posting the pic. Can you get your hands on a video? Maybe comparing it to his Epoch or multi cell bit/ Zap? That would make my day.
