Peak Chargers and Better Transmitters
I was wondering if anyone else uses a peak charger to charge thier bits, cuz i do and it only takes 10 min to charge it and i get a 3hr runtime with a 210 mah nimh battery. Also does anyone else use a larger scale rc controller to drive thier bits with since you can just swap crystals for all the freq.

Mmmmm, I'm gonna have to call you out on this one zydio...
I find it just a little hard to believe you get 3hrs runtime from a 10 minute charge.
And as far as the 210mAH battery goes, there was already talk about that...I'm guessing that 210mAH batt is sticking WAY OUT in your chassis?...The highest capacity battery I've heard/seen that FITS in the chassis is 160mAH.
I'd love for you to prove me wrong though, 210mAH batt would be nice.

no its the same size as the stock battery maybe a 1/2 mm smaller or somethin but it really takes around 10 min to charge it at 500 mah .5 amps on my peak charger i try this with the stock battery too and it gets about an hour runtime a little less. my email is zydio@flash.net if you want some i have a paypal account.

I've got a few 210mah bats on order, I should get them in the next few days. They are supposed to be a lil bit longer than a stock bit bat. About the size of a zip bat.

I can't say yet seeing as the store isn't online yet so I won't tell. I can say that the bats are about the size of 1/2aaa so they are bigger than a bit bat. What peakcharger are you using?

i get my 210's from the web and they are called 1/3 aaa and they are nimh. they have the exact same dimentions as the battery in the stock battery in the zip zap. which i think is just a little bigger than the tomy 50 mah nicd. my zip zap batteries fit in the bit char g, that is why i decided to order them since i knew they would fit.
how are you gonna get those 1/2 aaa to fit in the bit. thats gonna be hard to do if even possible. like i said i got the proper size in the 210 mah if you want some just let me know. if you order 10 at one time ill make them $7 a piece instead of $10.
oh yea i acually let it run the battery down all the way on a full charge from the peak charger at 500 mah. the runtime was 3 hrs 18 min and 36 sec with a stopwatch. i had to keep alternating between 2 of myfriends taking turns cuz i wasnt about to just drive it around for 3 hrs again. also do you think running it for so long will hurt it or burn the motor out. im about to do a dual cell mod with these, i wonder even if i run them in series if ill get more than 3 hr runtime off the peak charger. i might do one in parallel just to see if i can get a 6 hr runtime. that would be crazy.

Okay I think you're full of carp
Really $7 a piece if I order 10 or more from you?
How about posting a link to your source instead. I paid $13 for 5 bats shipped. The dimensions I gave were the dimensions I got which weren't specific. You contradict yourself. In your first post you said that they were smaller than stock bit bats and now they're the size of zip bats. You sound like your full of 5H!t. (I used hackerees there, sorry) especially when you say you get 3 hours outta peakcharged bat.
AS soon as I get permission I will post my source for the bats.

Alright, let's clear a couple of things up...
First, we have a naughty little fibber amongst us. Math says that charging at 500mA for 10 minutes produces roughly 83mA.
Anyone that tries to tell you that an 83mA charge will run (even the SLOWEST motor) for over 3 hours is either flatout lying or selling something...I think we all know what the deal is there.
Second, as far as the 210mAH batt is concerned (if you're talking about the 1/2AAA size)...If you don't mind the fact that it's 10.5mm x 22mm+ (which means you'd have to drill out the chassis to make it fit) then that's cool.
...But if you're going to do that, GP already makes a 310mAH 1/2AAA battery, so why bother with only 210?

Heck, if you wanted to make the 1/2AAA battery fit...You might as well just buy 2 of the GP 1/4AAA batts.
They're 115mAH capacity each, you could connect them length wise (at 10.7mm each, 2 longwise would still be shorter than 1 1/2AAA size batt) and get 2.4 @ 115mAH capacity...Not too shabby.

Thanks namuna.
I have been assured that they fit in a stock zip and I took the gentleman's word. I have asked for him to post over here and for exact specs. If they do not fit then I will return them or fit them into a stretch. I really think this kid needs a talking to

Hmmmm...He says it'll fit a ZZ huh?
Well then, when I get home I'll pull out my trusty Digital Caliper and measure the EXACT dimensions and we'll know the deal.
Your guy's definition of '1/2AAA' could be different than GP's definition...So it could very well be less than 22mm.
