More Clone BS

As most of you have read, I have been comparing my Lxx Bit clone with the Tomy Bit. I just got 2 new 3.0 motor in the mail this morning. I installed a fresh motor in each car. The Lxx car had a 3.0 in it according to the box and the Tomy had a 1.0, eeek was it slow.

The clone had a white cap on the 3.0 motor and a large contact compared to the Tomy motor. The new 3.0 motors had red caps. Is the color coding on the caps make them genuine Tomys?

Both cars have orange gear sets but the Tomy has a black gear on the motor, same number of teeth as the Lxx car however. I charged both car up an off I went. The Tomy is WAY faster than the clone. The gears and wheels are the same size so all I can think is the clone is just not as good. The clone has had many more charges on the batt but I can't believe it would be enuff to make such a difference in performance. I suppose the true test will be after I install the NiMH batts in both.

I hope to have a Microsizer by the end of the day to see how it stacks up. At this point I'd have to say the Tomys rule.

I couldn't have said it better myself.......

I believe the OEM white capped motor is really a 2.6
