weight reduction
Hey, I went a little crazy with my Xacto knife and my bit last night...here's the results. I'm pretty pleased actually- I use ZZ gears and fullsize ZZ wheels with a clone motor, everything else is stock. This thing goes fast enough to flip when I turn! I can't wait until I can strap my R-Spec in there when it comes. Also, I rerouted the antenna so it goes through the back and I untied the knot (it's kinda hard to see b/c I have a white antenna), this gives a big increase in range.

The only problem is you have to make sure that the wires are tucked in, like I didn't in this picture...

actually, the pastic as enough flex where it's strong enough that it doesn't break. Just make sure that you don't step on it or something.
Also, the clear cover on the top keeps it strong when crashed becuase it takes all the pressure

I just noticed that the car seems to be more balanced as well. I can drive it off dropes about a foot high and it lands flat on its wheels..

Or if you can afford it......... carbon fibre! Put two 150MAH cells in, and watch it fly!

Can you tell much of a diference with the reduced weight as far as handling and acceleration is concerned?

Yea, it turns a little tighter b/c there's less weight to pull it out and as far as acceleration, it should be faster with less wieght. I can't really tell because it does a burnout every time I press forward (not enough traction).
