I bet it is shown in red because hobbico/MS will bring a red 49 and a yellow 27 or something.

Sure NEW Beetles...
New Beetles are expected, they are current production cars!
Where are the CLASSIC Beetle bodies?
I already know of the thread where someone is making their own.
I want a Herbie The Love Bug body on my car when it wins the races!
(Note: At 36, I am probably pretty old to many of you, thus the old reference)
If they can put those bars on the Toyota body, they can do up those cool old-style VW bumpers too!
Come to think of it, a set of VW stock wheels w/hubcaps would really make it perfect!
The only problem is that they will never produce such a thing.
Ahh, one can dream though, one can dream...

Real, Shmeal, it looks pretty cool to me!
As far as the wheels go, why couldn't it simply be installed on someones modded car?

Those rims look familiar. . .
. . . they look like the rims on a KIT racer.

The reason the rims look different on the red beetle pic is because that is the pic of the Tomy Pullback cars. Their bodies can be interchanged with bit char-g, though

yes for some reason tomy often puts their upcoming releases on bit racer rims. The auto modellista set was like that.

The Pull backs really come with black 5 spoke star pattern wheels, those chrome ones are a pre-production pic from Tomy.
