that seems to be a statment with a question mark on the end. or were you asking us if we stood over your shoulder while you tried to charge your car? please elaborate.

you are just gona end up breaking your stuff.
this is how mine was done. i cut out the rear window so the battery sits out of the body half way. you need at least 4v to charge a dual battery car. a stock controller wont do it.

dangerous? well either you risk melting a circuit board(i have two and neither have died) or have a car that wont run at all because you only want to do half the mod. how old are you?

look mang not everything on the internet is true. the only thing you can believe is what is in front of you. assume that i am wasting all this time to lie to you so you will blow your little car up. have a nice day.

We're in the same boat
I once to had the same problem, i thought i could use the controller mod to get both AA for a good charge for my dual laymans mod. i was damn wrong haha if you do that u might get like half a minute outta the charge,i have to use 4 AA, it works a little for my tri cell laymans but not well enough, thats a future project ! What u should do if you dont have a battery holder and have a KIT racer, crack open the controller and take the 2 AA holde out of that and wire it to the opposite side of the charger( side w/o the red and black wires going into the controller) it usualy has a blue or white wire contecting the - and + side. I snipped those wires and soldered the wires form the KIT racer battery holder to it and theholder to the charging padand VWALLA 4 AA battrey charger ! its ghetto, but hell it works like a charm ! ill send pics if i confused u ha

hogjowlz has his means, and if they work for him then so be it.
MY suggestion is that you should NOT go too much over the rated voltage of the pack, when charging
Now, something that should be noted is that a fully charged single nimh battery is usually higher than the rated 1.2v (usually around 1.4v)...Which equates to roughly 2.8v on a dual-mod.
So, if you've got a dual-cell pack...You should keep the voltage at 3.0v charge rate, and as high a current rate (mA) as you feel comfortable with

namuna: i watched an electrical engineer test this with high grade meters and you need at least a 3rd battery to get enough power to charge dual batteries. but anyhow two batteries in the stock controller will not charge a dual battery circuit. if you have a way to do so please explain this.
