Why is this?! 2.6 is SLOWER then 1.0
Yup..got my microsizers today..got the rtr set with the 1.0 motor, and then the speed set with the 2.6 motor, gears, and ribbed tires. Now, for some reason, the 2.6 is way slower then the 1.0. Less torque as well. What is wrong with it?

That is crazy.
What gears are you using? Even with the "power" gears, the 2.6 should be quite zippy.
I would suggest you run the motor continuously for a period of time (turn the chassis upside down and let it run) and then try it.

Okay 1st you're not mixing them up right? The 2.6 is orange and the 1.0 is blue.
There could only be two other things wrong.
1. You got a bum motor, try cycling it a couple of times (put car upside down and run the car dry) if there is no improvement return it or see if you can get a replacement.
2. The motor isn't making contact well with the car. The pinion can be off, not conecting well with the gear. The tab on the motor isn't making a good conection with the car hence not getting enough power. Spin the little tab around so that it's pointing towards the front of the car, and then try towards the back, and so on position wise.
I hope this helps.

I have similar problems with my 2.6 I already ran it upside down 5 times & still no improvement. I think the motor is just defective. It came with a Bit Char-g, should I email Tomy or Hobbico (I don't speak Japaneese)? Any other way I can get a replacement? Any help appriciated.

Impreza WR reX:
If it's an official Tomy 2.6, I would e-mail Hobbico and tell them it's defective. They will probably send you a new one.
Their customer service e-mail address is rcfun@microsizers.com.

thanks nopropman,
I just moved the connection tab back again and it seems to be working now! I want to compare it with someone elses though, just to make sure that it's up to par with other 2.6's.

Ok, looks like it's back to the replacement thing! The connection tab broke off when I pulled it back this time . I didn't realize it was so thin. Do any of you think if I put a little bit of soilder or something over the point, it would still work?
