booster pcb

on a booster bit is there two sets of wires running to the moter or just one
the reason i ask is i have the wild char-g and i dont really care about the
gizmos up front so i was wondering if i took the wires from it and ran them to my drive moter if it would make a boost? the controllers look the same so i think it may work but i am kind of worried about getting resistence back to the pcb. any info would be appreciated
