Palm Program for keeping track of ZZ's

check out this program, looks neat, but why charge money for something like this?

palm is a dead animal. haha that app looks horrible. i know this aint really car related but if you are considering getting a handheld go with pocketpc. they have real processors, sound, recorders and a bunch of apps like lap counters, decibel meters, access databases(you could make that app in access). plus a ton of games. i believe need for speed is out. and a buncha racing games and gameboy emulators.

I bought a pocketpc, a week later MS decided to declare all MIPS systems obselete. My Visor is still going stong, running the latest apps.

I agree the layout of the program looks horrible. Thats why I was saying I wasn't sure why anyone would charge money for a program like it.

But my Tungsten T is better than any PPC on the market in any benchmark tests. I dont need 64 megs of RAM to get it up and running. OS5 using an ARM processor running at 200mhz outdoes PPC's with 400mhz processors hands down.

So yes I have a real processer(haha), sound recording and playback in OGG Vorbis, MP3, .WAV, whatever you need
Then include a huge library of programs and a veritable army of programmers and developers, who give us any number of games and programs that I would find usefull, yes including some very nice racing games. I had a gameboy emulator called liberty on my IIIx in 2000, needless to say the emulators out now are better and faster than what you could find for PPC, although I haven't compared them side to side so wouldn't be able to say this for sure)

I guess it's really just a personal question of preference and need more than anything else. I need a faster, lighter PDA, with a longer lasting battery and only the options I want. :P winCE is just too kludgy for me...

Back on topic, would anyone here use a program like this? I don't think I would. If there was a game like pilot micro race with this database part included, I would find it very fun and usable. (If you have an OS5 palm try this game in 3D mode!)
