Best glue (or method) for axle/wheel mods

I was wondering what type/brand of glue or epoxy that holds the STRONGEST for doing custom wheel/axle mods? I've used a type of epoxy called "powerpoxy" from wal-mart but this stuff is crap.

I've also tried 2 part 5 min. epoxy(can't remember the name) but it seems to break down over time and cracks.....then there is super glue...which is fine also....til it cracks

So, can someone recommend a type of glue (that is widely available -I have no specialty stores in my town ) that is best for getting the rims SECURELY attached to the axles? Please post if you can help, Thanks!

I used regular super glue on mine with no problems.

I transplanted the red Zip Zaps "turbo" rear gear onto the stock rear of my shen to keep the wheels matched.

The main thing is to be gentle when pulling the axles apart to begin with.

i use surehold plastic surgery super gel. it's permanent. it dries fast like super glue, but it's made for all plastics. got it at walgreens for $2.

Thanks for the replies Unfortunately I don't have a Walgreens around here so the plastic surgery gel is not an option I've used JB weld before(on "real" cars) and actually gave it a thought for this application... I guess I'll give the JB weld a try!

(now if only KB had another "johnny lightning" postal truck that I could pull the wheels off of!)

I use superglue first, if that doesn't work, I use JB Weld!

I had a triple cell panther , and I found that the wheels became very loose from the axle, so I got a needle and pushed jbweld into the axle hole, then pushed the axle in there.

Nice job!

Also the tri cell made the gear loose, so i got my glue gun, applied it to the rim, and with a needle pushed the hot glue against the gear.

After a while it came loose, but its a good temp fix, it lasted quite a while.
