The LXX is like any other clone. Its main construction is similar to the Tomy cars. The LXX are considered to be the better of the clones that are available today.

my main car is an LXX, i have no problems with it.

the motors are a bit longer, so to make tomy motors fit, i just stuck a metal disc down in there to make the connection.

you can find them for 10 bucks on ebay...with another 10 or so for shipping.

still a good deal for a perfectly good clone.

the only LXX's i see on ebay in the US are around 17 bucks with 5 dollar shipping

you're better off paying 20 to get one from china, although it will take about 2 weeks

im not sure where you are in the states, but if theres a Fry's Electronics near you you can pick up a clone for 14.99 and i have seen about 4 different ones there. i believe that they work with www.outpost.com so you could probably get it from outpost.com also.
