Help with crip cap!

I have looked many places, but havnt read about anyone playing with the crip cap on the new 4 band controllers.

I really would like to remove it for more range, but an somewhat scared, will it effect the ability to change frequencies and stuff.

I know basically nothing, so any help on this mater would be much apreciated

Dont know about the four band controller, but I have another question. Does anyone know if the Bensu Thuderbolt (Bullet) clones have the cripple cap or do they have better range than standard anyway?
