I'm in texas as well. Lewisville area. Woot! I say we all get together and start racing.

MTL: Just out of curiosity what's wrong with your controller? And what frequency is it? I've got an extra 49 Mhz controller if you need one.

Bummer...best bet is probably to get that 4-band multi controller. If you haven't already that is. And when you tried to remove the button switch did you use any kind of desoldering tool? Or try one of those desoldering braids maybe? They'd help in removing all the solder so you can remove it cause I ran into the same problem with one of my controllers (only it was the left turn button instead).

Riven (and MTL): Yeah that'd be sweet! Maybe we can start a race team or sum'm. hehe Initial D Texas Style!

MTL, why don't you fix your controller problem by doing those joystick/controller mods?

yay

wow i didnt expect to find a texas post in here. im from texas too! near grapevine. im a newbie here actually. i just bought a bit char-g on ebay and im still waiting for it to get here. here are the specs:

blue wrx, 45mhz, 3.0 motor, + a 3 sets of tires.

i got it all for about 30 bucks. i started with a cheap wal mart copy for 13 bucks. and those are fun, but the motor is saudered (is that spelled right?) and i cant up grade it. its still fun though.

ne ways, where do you guys get parts and stuff? mostly online? or is there actually a hobby store around here?

It's spelled Solder

And I get mine from both. My local Hobbytown USA (for those in the area its the one on 3040 past 121 over on the right hand side heading away from I-35E) carries the cars and all the accessories currently available so I sometimes buy from them. But if I want the actual bcg stuff or specialty items (like the 3.8 motor or what have you) than I, of course, go online.

Speaking of which I just ordered my Type-R motor tonight! Can't wait till it gets here.
