Quick Question

I have a cheap crappy clone atm (i have a bit in the mail but Christmas makes things take along time) and the steering wont center up after a turn for example if i turn right it stays right till i turn left i took it apart and it has a little wire that is wrapped around a pin on bar the wheels are attached to then go to each side of a pen on the chassis. is this common? or just this one crap clone? the wire is bent and i cant get it to work at all. I would like to fix it if u guys have any ideas, but my main question is if this is common.

funky steering is the most common problem next to 3.8s har har

with proper and good maintinence, ive kept my bit problem-less for months
i frequently clean out dog hair and carpet lint stuck in the axles
i also clean all the stuff stuck to the steering magnet with tape

if that doesnt work, its probably just messed up steering coils, because its a clone, i wouldnt be surprised

what im wondering is if they all have a spring to recenter the steering? and if so is it a really fine wire circled around a post on the front bar and agaist the chasis. it just seems VERY poorly designed

yep thats pretty much what everyone else has. same goes with ZZ's
but on some different smaller cars, they use a motor on the front...but those arent bit size
