improved runtime!!!
i have a nakamichi n racer that i modified the contoller on. i went to radioshack and got an AC adapter plug with 3 pins that shuts off the battery power when you plug it in. i wired it directly to the battery terminal. so now i don't have touse the batteries to charge. i also bought a micro thunder bike and noticed it uses 3 AA's with a 100 mah. so i thought what would happen if i charged my other cars with my nakamichi controller? WOW!!! talk about run time!! i got 17 min first time, and it increased the run time when i used the regular charger. now i get between 15 and 20 min when i use 4.5v and 10 to 15 on 3v. so far no problems with the batts in the cars, so i don't need to upgrade my nicd's.

Excellent work!
Could you share the details with us?
Part #'s and diagram would help!
Would this be possible on a Bit/MS controller?

as long as there's room in the controller it's possible. the jack itself is a little large and you have to make a hole for it. it's pretty self explanitory if you've ever done any regular soldering. you just have to figure out which prong shuts off and solder the batt hot to that. when you get it make sure you get the right plug for it and a 3v AC adaptor 300mah or more. you can't use a 4.5 adaptor on a 3v charger. tried that, fried my controller! best to get a clone that uses 3 AAA's or AA's and adapt that. good luck.
