newbie here.... a question!
dudes, dudetts,
i'm new, this is my virgin post...............
just picked up my new Char-g nissan skyline gtr (blue) from toys R us in australia, very impressed at first, but i have a question, or a problem:
car seems to be less zippy now, noticibly SLOWER (edit after a few runs)
but put the car in reverse, and it goes how it shud, real zippy like when it shud be,
wats the deal, i've taken her apart twice already to clean out dirt etc, but its relativily new so there is no dirt. why does the motor run faster in reverse????
and is the stock motor 1.0?? i've just orderd the 3.0 motor and the project D pack!
Thanx!!!

Also check out some of the available FAQs (in my sig)
I'm not familiar with what the stock motors are on the Aussie Char-G...But that 3.0 motor will DEFINITELY feel 'zippy'
Good luck!

thanx for the advice and reply
i read in ur faq, that the motors are color coded, well my stock motor has a yellow end, which according to the faq is a 2.2 motor, seems quite slow.
does ny1 know wats wrong with mine? or shud i take it back??
also does it matter which type of batteries u use in the remote?? i.e better batteries, = car runs better??

Here's the deal...The ONLY effect 'better' batteries in the remote will have on the car is range. Fresh 1.5v alkalines being the best case.

Did you try checking for fibers, hairs or threads wrapped around your wheels? I know you cleaned out the dirt but I noticed (only after problems) that there was a little hair wrapped around my driver's side wheel. After removal, she ran like new.
Also, fully charge the car...lay it on it's top (roof)....and hold down the foward button until the battery dies. Then recharge it and race it. See if that helps.

hair is yourworstenemy.
i have a dog that sheds. oh the agony.
my right knuckle was slow and i picked and pickedat it until i finally got a SMALL hair out that was lodged in between the metal pin and the wheel. it wasnt even in the normal wedged place between the wheel and the knuckle.
also check the motor itself. one time a hair got wrapped around the TINY black pinion gear attached to my motor ugh!
