Belt drive?
When I got this little thing, I thought I might be a bit out there as far as mods I wanted to make to it. However, seeing some of the mods that people have done, mine are timid at best.
Has anyone tried making some sort of a belt drive for a Bit? I was thinking maybe using the rubberband from a set of braces for the pullies. My goal is to make it a bit quieter than it is, tho I think most of the noise might be straight from the motor...

Put some grease on the gears.
Noise = gone.

If you try to use a rubber band, you will have to turn the motor around to the other side, or just run the motor in reverse to go forwards.

These little motors are picky. I tried the belt drive idea with one of the rubbery tires off my stock ZZ. Too much pressure it wouldn't move and not enough....well it's not enough. It has to be possible, but just wrappin a rubberband is not going to do the trick unfortunaetly. This mod is going to require a real miniature belt with teeth. It's the only way I can think of it getting just the right amount of torque. I still encourage you to try it. Hopefully there was something simple I overlooked. Happens to me all the time

i dont know about belts. you would lose a lot of power. i would think metal gears may be better than plastic. someone should take some old watches apart or something.
