Question i am thinking about getting one, but.....

hello i just got a microsizer and i am hooked on the mini/kinda mini RC thingy. I was just wondering how the handeling was on the epoch. 1) if you wanted to could you drift with some control as if you set up a mini rally race in your home. 2)is the steering really hard to perfect like a microsizer/bit 3)are they really fun to use, meaning you dont have to be constantly charging and doing alot of stuff to get good steering and range.

First and foremost, the Epoch Spec-2 is to be compared with the larger scale R/C cars because the Epoch is FULLY proportional (steering and acceleration) and runs on the 27MHz band (with crystals) like the larger scale as well.

So, that means;
- Yes, it'll do the drifting
- No, there's no wacky learning curve for the steering (because it steers like the bigger scale)
- hell yes it's fun
- You get the full range and propo steering of the bigger cars

One thing that does suck though is the battery life...2 minute charge time for 4 minute runtime kind of sucks.

I've got 2 Epoch Spec-2 cars and I love them.

not to mention the detail is better than any bit or microsizer ull ever get.....and in that short runtime you can get lots of high speed fun, you wont be dissapointed!

hmmmm

so wait, even with the 4 battery mod or whatever you cant get longer run times.....are there ANY mods that will get you better run time???? i must admit that they look very, how do you say...sexy and fast with that bumper on the front. and also, would you say that it is worth the price...it seems a little much but if they are really fun it is worth it.

Run times vary drasticlly, My friend who just picked up a Spec 2 has had it last about 7min.

IF u take good care of the batts. and dot't over charge, just using the stock 3 cells will give you fairly good run time.

A far as "are they worth it?". That is really a very subjective question that only YOU can truly answer. Us, RC guys who come from using the larger cars love them BUT u maybe satisfied with the cheap 'Shack car.

Epoch's, have diffs, suspension, suspension and proportional steering. Have u driven RC cars that have these features? If u have then you can see comparing an Epoch to a Bit (Micro Sizer) is rediculous.

Hope we've helped

Hmmm... Those Epoch racers look like a lot of fun. I was just wondering if anyone knows where they sell those cars? I asked in some stores both in Sweden and Copenhagen (Denmark) but nobody knows anything about those cars... They are all trying to sell me those damn Mini-Z's instead...
