Unhappy Help ! New Bit Char-G doesn't work :(

I finally got in my Auto Modelista kit in a few days ago. Opened up the package, charged the car..and then 45 seconds later, nothing happens. The car just sits there.

I got suspicious, and then charged the car on my Hobbico controller. And then the car works like a charm with the Tomy controller.

So looks like my charger is busted on the Tomy controller (which is suprising, as the light stays on 45 seconds and goes off..which looks like it is chargin..but the car doesn't have a single bit of actual charge in it).

Can anyone come up with a good fix for me on this ? Something simple I hope .

Maybe you have bad bats in the controller?

Check the contacts. Are they bend or out of shape? If so, bend them back straight. Only other thing I can say is bust the controller open, see if the wire is making full contac??

i think that if the light is operating normally but there is no power being sent to the battery, then it is something internal with the controller, and therefore probably hard to fix. You might wanna open it up and look for anything suspicious (loose, soldered bad, in the wrong place ect)

if you got it off of ebay, i would not reccomend sending the controller back for another one, cuz when i did that 2 months ago, and my car is STILL not here...stupid ebay sellers dawdling.

Yeah I did get it from eBay. The car works, but I have to just carry two controllers around with me now..LOL.

Is is safe to open the controller ? I am not going to get any parts fly back at me ..am I ? :[

you shouldn't get any parts clying out at you, I opened mine up just to look at the cripple cap and nothing jumped out, just be careful with all the little wires, and don't lose the small screws.

I have a similar problem with my Auto modeilista but the trick is to hold down your car the the prongs on the charger then it charges. Tell us if this works.

it should work since when you put the car down on the prongs, it completes the circuit and lights up the led...hmmm

It could also be that your batterys in your controler are near dead try swaping batteries with your other controller and see. When I got my first bit I ran the batteries down in 2 days! and thought my bit died.

I just got found the EXACT same problem on a Huale Knock off. We ended up diagnosing it to a bad resistor. Take a look at all of the resistors. When we replaced the bad resistor it worked like a charm.

I won't be able to get pictures up until Wednesday of next week if you need them.
