No throttle response... intermittent problem.
When my car gets stopped it sometimes doesn't respond to throttle input. It responds to steering input, however. And when I push the car forward even an inch, it will respond to the throttle input again. It only happens occasionally and not every time.
Has anyone had this kind of problem? I will try resetting the transmitter.

Check the motor wires, sounds like a bad connection.

I plugged that motor into two other cars and it did the same thing. The new motor is defective. Took it back to HTUSA I bought from and they gave me Kyosho number I can call. I will call them tomorrow and see what happens.

reset the transmitter settings... if that doesn't resolve it, you have 1) a bad motor or 2) a bad receiver.... both i've had experience with, both are difficult to diagnose. the bad receiver part is the one you don't want to have as its very expensive to resolve.

I called Kyosho America and they emailed me a warranty claim form. I have to send in the motor, copy of the receipt, and the completed claim form. After they receive all that they will send me a replacement motor. The motor cost me $10 at the store but a trip to the store to demo the problem and mailing the motor in will cost about $10 to get a replacement. And it will take probably a week. It would have cost just the same but much quicker if I just buy another motor from the store. There has to be a cheaper/easier way for a cheap item like this....

motors and a few other items are things that will eventually go and need replacements and its a part of the hobby that we have to accept. the only thing you can do is to prepare yourself by stocking things you know will eventually need replacing imo. sorry for your troubles though....
