Lightbulb A unique idea

Here's a unique idea I had for an rc vehicle while sitting in my web design class:

you know those transformers you see @ monster truck shows. i know a few of you know what I'm talking about. I'll name a few of them right now: Vorian, Tranzilla, Draco The Dragonator & Robosaurus, just to name a few. What if you were to take the design of one of those transforming robots that i mentioned above and scaled them down to 1:28 or 1:14 scale and made them into radio control vehicles. would that not be cool to have your own rc Robosaurus to eat your friend's XMOD!?

I have included some pictures of these transformers.

I imagine it's not that hard if you have some metal and servos.

Unhappy Dang it!

Someone beat me to the large scale rc idea. just look @ the picture, the thing's probably about 1:8 scale.

Go for it LC! I friend and I were driving across the country a while back, and we saw some kind of truckasaurus in transit - it was all folded up and being pulled along like a normal semi trailer!

Only thing holding me back is the vast amount of funding that I would need for this project. Looks like I will be seeing about putting in an application w/ Hobby Lobby and also Hobbytown USA. maybe I could use 1 of my dad's 3 riding mowers for the platform of this project. I've been looking @ the build notes on the hydraulic systems for these entertainment robots and they are very complex. It takes 4-6 hydraulic rams to open the doors on Transaurus and Megasaurus. My solution would probably be push/pull solenoids.
