xmod truck unimog
hey everyone....ive been thinking of this project for a while now, and since i am almost done with the solid front axle modification on my hummer, i decided to see if i can use to my advantage the fact that my solid front axle set-up make the chassis longer by using an f-150 rear spindle in the front and rear and make it long enough for a truck body, like a unimog (preferably), i was thinking the tires from those tamiya mini-4wd are so huge ( the ones on the land cruiser) imight be able to use them. anyone now of any 1/28 or so bodies of a unimog or something like it????
i am going to use a 6/33 tooth combo with modified motor for smoothest torquiest runing, some li-pos, stacked FETS, 4wd of course........i was thinking of leaving stock height since the huge tires with give it enough height and i can use alloy pieces...(wish they have lifted alloy pieces....) `pretty much the same set up as my hummer except with WAAAAY! biggertiresand a more unbalanced body.
i was also thinking of make sort of like a rescue/military F-150 with like an all cargo bed roll bar and like a soft top kinda thing, i was thinking it would look pretty slick with all the rescue goodies, you know winch, fuel tanks, shovels picks axes, spare tires,
well, if you can help me, thanks for the help....also what do you think???

hey has anyonetried to mod a microservo as a motor for an xmods truck, i was looking at this one as it as a bunch of torque for a 200-something gram car:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTX42&P=ML
modyfing this servo as the motor would make my tiny crawler of a hummer my dream project, does anyone know of any tutorials to modifying a servo into a motor (not necesarily into an xmod, just something general) or if anyone has donethis,i would really appreciatethe help...
thanks,

You basically take the servo apart and rip out the circuit board and pot. This just leaves motor and gears. That's it.
