torque on this

the best way to get a good speed to torque ratio without doing any major mods is to use the upgraded nitrus motor with the original stock gears (the blue ones) this will result in a good holeshot with good overall speed and control

hooty--

So, the principle is simultaneous high rpm and high gear ratios? I'm inclined to agree. Do you have a good explanation you could share with us as to why it works that way? I think we need to hear it because it will resolve many questions.

While I've not seen reports on MTBF studies on the ZZ/ZZSE motors, I've heard the higher rpm motors die sooner than the lower rpm motors. Is there a lower rpm motor option that is almost as good and will last a little longer?

I've just uploaded a gear ratio and motor options chart for ZZs and ZZSEs on my website: www.gcrossett.com/zipzaps/.

I think you've given one of the better replies to his type of question because you've specified actual parts he can try.
