problem with evo steering

I have found a problem with the new evo chassis. If you like to run your car on carpet you will get hung up. The steering arms step down away from the lowest seat on the control arm. This step down makes the connecting screw longer than it needs to be and it snags on even really low cut carpet.

I hope this gets corrected by someone in the aftermarket. I tried changing screws and it's no use, the old xmod screws are all too large in dia. and the step on the original screw prevents tightening it more.

I'm guessing you are running one of the cars. I noticed that screw on my F-150 but it has been a problem since the tires are bigger. I'll have to keep that in mind when I pick up the Mustang.

third pic is my fix. shorter screw collared with insulator from stripped wire. the stock screw is too long. i also suggest the suspension lift kit.
