Digi-q and VS Tanks

I know that the new generation Digi-q tanks are compatible with the first generation Digi-q. But, does anyone know if they are compatible with the VS Tanks? i.e. can the old controlers control the new tanks?

I have 4 of the VS Tanks, but I need to be able to have 6 on the field at the same time all being controlled seperatly by different controllers. They don't have to be able to shoot each other, just all have to be able to drive around with seperate controllers. If the new tanks use a different IR id encoding then this should work for what I need it for.

thanks

VS & Combat-Q IR are Different. they do not compat.
I own 8VS and 20 Digi-Q.
You can run 2 of same ID but need to have them apart a bit so beam will not control both at once. Good on large battlefields. Takes practice!

VS are Toys compartred to Konami.
VS are only good if you MOD them heavilly.
You have to be good at Modding otherwise don't buy these.

They are good for 4 yr olds to play with to giggle...but if you want realistic driving and battling features there is only 1 tank ever...Konami.

welcome back comrade, I also had hoped for more konami microIR compatible stuff. it seems almost inpossible to get even a konami soundsystem. maybe I'll try to weld a IR receiver for my pc together myself, it seems to have worked for beaver and robokalle in the past, and it will save me about $199 (that was the price paid for a konamisoundsystem on e-bay recently)

forum activity?

Hi. I just recently got into the Combat DigiQ tanks. I'm building up my force and I've got some questions about internal batteries, etc. I saw a reference in this forum that there are more active forums out there. I'm also registered at mircrorccenter, but I'm curious to know if there are any others. Any info is appreciated!

Oh, and I'm looking for the sound system and cards if anyone has some they don't want.

Thanks!

more active forums would be great, I only know of one other, but it's in germanlanguage. translation is a b*tch.
however they seem to have made some d.i.y. digiQsound for pc, and as I belive some IR (stationairy) shootingbases, perhaps like a cannon bunker? it all seems so incoherend to me, this germanlanguage!! (I'm going nuts over it).

*************?

the battery's are special, it has been suggested to me that you can use replacement battery's from VStanks,I don't know for shure if these are the right one's! I also have older digiQ's with weak battery's witch need replacement, but i fear they are (also) pricy as well. but before replacing always check if you charge/discharge correctly, and use new battery's for the controller.

were you also outbid by ..camera on the .bay?
didn't it go for $199? i'd love to get my hands on a soundsystem.

does anyone know the stats on the tankara microir? like (meca)godzilla and mothra? they seem particulary hard to "kill" and have immense strikingforce.

Yes, it was me who was outbid on evilbay for the soundsystem. I was willing to pay that much because finding the sound tower and all four cards together is next to impossible. I missed out on a second sound tower at a different auction site, so I'm now 0 for 2.

Do you have a link to the German forum? I took a couple years of it in college, so I could probably figure most of it out.

Oh, I've received 10 of the replacement VsTank batteries from ToyEast. They're $2.00 US apiece. Same structure (2 x 1/4 AAA wired in parallel), but the wires come out the side instead of the middle. Easy fix though, you just cut the shrink tube a little and re-route the wires. I'm gearing up to solder a couple in this weekend. Hopefully I won't burn through the pcb!

Of all the forums I'm currently registered for, this is the most active.

@zeit-geist.

check this: http://549.rapidforum.com/
special thanks to robokalle and beaver, (I hope you don't mind) and all others that contributed to this site.

more digiQ forums? maybe we can make a listing of them?

evilbay? , I'm still kicking myself for not bidding more,
the soundsystem is indeed a wanted collectors item!
you can't win 'em all I guess.

good news about the batteries, there is still hope for my tank graveyard.

epoxy,

Are you familiar with this website?

http://www.fuglsang.biz/group.asp?group=49

Looks like you're in the Netherlands, so I thought you might be interested in this. I'd double check the inventory just to make sure. I'd buy it myself, but the Krona is much stronger vs. the US dollar making it too expensive.

yes, I bought some digiQ from him in the past, he said he had ran out. I't is there that I was just a day to late ordering for a soundsystem. (I still remember that!).

http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad...m/m_digitq.htm
end of last year goldenshop mailed me they had some NONturretrotating digiQ's left for $50 each.( but who wants nonrotating?) or maybe here?

or if you are a real collector :
http://www.rotchaeppli.ch/micro-rc/c...roducts_id/343

did you have succes with rc-micro.de?
at least it's easier to translate than the site of henrik fuglsang or the moscow site, I hope you find some ideas there.

do the VStank batteries work?

I'll be doing the battery test tonight. I'll solder a new one in and charge it up. I'll post the results tomorrow.

I bookmarked the German site, thank you! I haven't had a chance to really get into the topics and read them through, but it looks promising. I'd really like to hook up the PC to provide the sound, but that is some really serious electrical work. Doing the sound mod to the controller looks to be more feasible to me. I've got a lot of little digital recorders/players that I could cannibalize to make that work.

What's your tank count up to? I currently have 4 tigers (one rotating), 3 shermans (one rotating), and a Panther.

This site looks like they really do have them in stock, but again, for me, the currency conversion is brutal:
