question about li-ion
what are the advantages of li-ion batteries? do you need upgraded FETs to run li-ion? what kind of gains would be seen from using these with a stage 2 RS motor, and would it improve more with the addition of the Si FETs? would i see an improve ment with only the addition of FETs and running 4 cell Ni-MH. What type of motor would you suggest that would be a little more efficient than a RS motor, i don't want anything crazy i race in a basment so 40mph is useless.
thanks in advance

The Li-Ions rock. If you race on a short track, use them in conjunction with a good motor (ie - the AtomicMods.com SS130) with an eight or nine-tooth gear. The SS130 is a great motor that will smoke the RS motors. Check out AtomicMods.com for the batteries, etc. I bought mine from there, and did my own wiring harnesses....check out the pic.......
Even with a stock motor, you will see an amazing difference. I didn't believe it until I did mine. Good Luck.

No, you do not need a FET upgrade to run the Li-Ions.
