all out Drag project

After I broke the steering wires on my ZZ in an attempted dual cell, I decided to ditch the steering all together. This drag project is hopefully going to include tri cells and dual motors. I am still deciding on a microsizer PCB or a microswitch with no PCB. Here are the pics;

Any suggestions/comments?

Should I go with the pcb or microswitch?

Looks really good i too broke the wires with the same attempt and just refunded it for another one. i was wondering where you got those wheels and how you connected them. If you would be kind enough to post anything on it that would help
Thanx

The wheels are monster truck tires mounted over lego wheels and tires glued to the rear axle

Do you think that I should go with or without a pcb?

Lookin good so far, you should lengthen the chassie and add quad cells with a zz pcb or whatever pcb you want.

Keep us informed

Updates!!

I have decided not to go with the top- fuel look. I am now trying to build it so that it will run on asphalt and carpet. Note the Spring and the black mount that I chopped from a controller charger. I am also interested in running 4.2 perfection motors. Has anyone tried them? also, I have heard of very short lifespans for the motors. Is this true?

Ok, After some research, I have decided to get a few 3.8s for this project. Do you think that this is the right choice, or should I use R-specs for the torque to move the giant wheels?

heres an interesting suggestion

i did this with an old zip zap when i broke the steering wires...
rip out everythig EVERYTHING the steering the electric board or pcb or watever rip out all of the steering components make sure the only thing left is the wheels(glue the front wheels in one position)stick in the fastest motor radioshack or something else put in 4 or 5 cells (i used 1) make the cells directky connected to the motor and simply put in a switch to turn on direct current to the motor or better yet just slice and strip one of the wires and wen u feel like dragging just twist em together... there you have it the ultimate drag set up!

Thanks, but now, I've pretty much abandoned this project, due to the fact that going straight isn't very fun. Now I'm using these parts for a fully functional Offroader project.

yea

going straight is soooo boring i tried a drag project also but if ur gonna make a drag project u might as well make it steer like i saw a tutorial somewhere for that lol i now have absolutely no functioning rc's just a shoe box full of parts!(this is because of my will to fully mod and experimenting) i guess there is such thing as going too far
