steering problem and other questions
hey guys i just got the viper se this is GREAT!!!! and i bought the nissan skyline body with it. when i stick the nissan skyline on its a bit too small and it squezes the steering and the car cant steer corectly. anyone kno how i can fix this?? and im a 14 yearold noob and i dont know how some stuff like soldering.
and the zipzap is really fast and hard to control. i made a track with posterboard about 10-12 inches wide and i keep goin off the track. about how long will it take for me to get use to the speed?
and the neutral adjustment this is cool i tweaked it a little now i just put it on the ground and i just have to tap the acceleration trigger once and i dont have to touch it again for about 2-3 minutes
and i got a 08a04 model is that good or bad.

the reason for the steering binding is that the body is fairly short. I had the same problem, my solution-I put a brace between the chassis and the body mounts to keep the body pushed away and stop the steering from binding. Just cut a fairly thick piece of plastic or metal between the two, and make sure the body mount does not impact the steering rack. I wish I could show pictures, but I have no digi-cam yet. It makes it a little hard to fit the body on, but it will run

Use the green motor and gears (slowest setup) until you get used to the steering. Sometimes it helps to put a larger wheel on the controller, so you have finer control over it. Just remember to try to use the proportional steering, don't over-steer.
A 10 inch track is pretty narrow, you might want to stick with something on the order of 24 inches until your control improves.
The 08A04 model is the newest release, so yes, thats good. Some of them still have a little steering stutter, but otherwise they are pretty solid.
