FET mods for ZZse's

There is a guy down in Australia that does FET mods on ZZse's. I sent a couple down to him and when I got them back they just flew. The biggest change is that they will now go in reverse as fast as they do forward. He also does a steering mod for the older ZZ's

Here is his e-mail if you would like to try it.

You're referring to MicroAmps, he's also a regular at the Ausmicro.com Forums.

Also, rumor has it that the new SEs (Ford GT and Dodge Viper) have new setups with faster performance.

They Are Faster

I got a GT, it is faster but it only gets 4 steps to right, 7 to left and it stutters I think I might send it back. Its not worth the 25 The date was 07A04 and it still stutters every car I get stutters I am cursed. Can anyone explain how to fix the stutter? steps in an easier way than the 7/7 mod I can't understand the tutorial on here please help

Sounds like you need to take your front end apart. Set the controller so it's perfectly centered, and it should not stutter, the put the front end back together making it as straight as possible. Then when you run it and make any adjustments make them to the screw on the bottom of the car. If if you run out of room for adjustment on that screw, then center the screw back up, and take the front end apart again. With the screw centered everything should be shifted slightly. You'll have to make the appropriate adjustments to the front end and put it back together. Hopefully that should give you room to work with, if not take it apart and shift it over one more notch.

Doing that to even the first generation SEs would give me the 5/5 symetrical steps, and make the stutter almost unoticable. On the newer SE that should solve your problem. It seems to me the stutter is most pronounced when it's fighting between 2 steps. Getting the electrics precisely centered, then centering the mechanics seems to be the best way to fix that.
