multiple motors?
(Couldn't post this in the science section, locked out or something)
Multiple motors and larger pinion gears/ gear rations vs larger motors.
So here is my question: Will.. lets say 2 motors of equal power produce twice as much power/torque (not speed) by drawing off of the same power source, or will it be halved? (half power going to each = power of 1?) then just change the gear ratios to have larger pinions on the motors and smaller on the body/ drive shaft.
And would this even be a practical mod, with weight being a factor and all? let me know what you think, or toss me some links if you know people who have already done this. just curious to see what i can find.

Unless you had a serious excess of current being passed to the one motor, or adapted additional cells to the thing to compensate for the increase in draw, the motors wouldn't get as much power together as either one of them would alone. Switching pinions in any case only accentuates what's already being done, good or bad - if you put a high-speeder on, then the motors wouldn't have the torque to push it very fast. If you put on a low-geared/drift pinion, then acceleration would still be bogged from the lack of power.
Not to mention it's a nightmare getting six cells to fit on those things, let alone six cells and another motor. But if you really want to do it, then it's possible.

i dont know about dual motors on electric but with nitros dual motors is very popular and very fast with great acceleration all of the nitro truck guys dream about this mod

By the Laws of Xmods... It defeats the whole purpose of it... But, if it works lemme know...
