new car, slight problem

just picked up an orange gto with date code 02A04. much, much better than my original white savanah. hardly any studdering, equal steps each way and it even seems faster. only problem im having is that when i turn to the right (even the slightest) i spinout. anyclues as to whats going on?? ive been messing with tire combos but if it was the tires i figured it would be doing this each direction... but its only when turning right. thanks in advance.

heres a pic:

Your tire might be loose on the axle. Try to spin both rear tires in oppisite directions. Tell me if they do it. If not, it is just that it turns better to the right then the left and that is why I dont like se's.

rear axle is fine (though i have had that problem before on the the orignal zzs). now that i started looking around better its becuase the front right wheel will not spin freely like the left. hopefuly i can work it over with a pair of tweezers... taking the pin out will be the last thing i do seeing that it looks like a pain to do.

that sounds like it might be it. another thing to check is how the front wheels are sitting. i had a torino where one of the front wheels was barely making contact with the ground.

yea ive pretty much got it cleaned out. i have a set of tweezers that are almost need thin so they work perfect. one thing i noticed about the updated se's is that there is very little "play" in the front wheels compared to the older ones, hence i dont wanna remove the pins and mess anything up.

edit:
i just figured out that its becuase the left wheel is barly touching the ground.... i guess ill just modify the right side with a spacer of some sort to limit the suspension from reaching its full drop and hopefuly making the left side touch the ground.

edit edit:
the front of the chassis is crazy bent , i guess only fix is an exchange, oh how i like dealing with rs people on exchanges...

.....i think it is very funny, how they marketed these cars ages 8 and up or smething like that, yet they are so darn expensive when you stat mucking with them.......only because of what i think is the lemon factor, as where the car out of the box is defective. I have noticed many how to docs on various things and wondered why no doc has outlined a "lemon factor" describing items to look for 'out of the box', if the car doesn't perform to a few minor standards out of the box for myself i strip it for parts and return it. range, sputtering, steering balance usually in ZZ's tends to be strong on one side when turning right so there is alot of rigfht countersteer adjustment on the bottom of the car but one in a hundred will have been built well and is close to beeing straight up the middle and drives straight, often wonder if someone just slapped it together but they must go through some form of QC and alignment test, before pkg'ing, there are good ones and lots of bad ones!

I doubt there is a human involved in any of the assembly unless they're working for $1 per day in china or somewhere similar.

yea i understand that needs to be considered. im in no way trying to bash/flame rs and for 15 bucks its hard to argue. they could just be so much better if there was just a tad of quality control...

I'm not defending RS cause some of the cars are "lemons" but part of the "lemon factor" is people returning cars once they've "damaged or stripped" it themselves. Some RS's do try and resell them.

I still find it really sad ... the factor of cars that come from the store are defective is insane... every second person on the forum is bitching about how they brough home their new zip and it's busted...
