Any body been to one of these yet?
Did they have a track? RCP?
Lap Counting system? What Kind?
Tour dates are listed, starting back in 3-17-04.

ive never heard from any one that made it to the event, heard from a lot of people that went to one though, but there was no event there!!! lol. Some of the events lasted less than 5 minutes... some were an hour. Most likely they had one race event, then drove around trying to get ppl to join the race at the other locations.. if they had too many racers, they did not bother going to the other locations... just a guess.

I dont think they actually have organized races at these pre tournament events. The website says that a few Cadalac Escalades are traveling around the country stopping at different locations for a brief time. I doubt there is any timing system or track that they set up. I would think there just promoting the tournament and may have some custome Xmods with them or something for people to test out.
I would be curious on what timing system and track there planning on running for the real tournament in June?

The tournament will use an rcp-track with the cars using transponders that plug into the same jack as the light kit. I wonder when a timer and transponder would be available as an upgrade?

Good News!
From jbear's link:
No light kits may be installed - each car will have a timing transponder installed prior to the race. This transponder is installed in the same manner and location as the light kit upgrade, so no light kits may be installed in cars entering the Tournament.
Great info guys... now if RS would sell us this transponder/lap counter combo for a low price... that would be what we have all been waiting for!
