MASSIVE difference in oversteer from L to R
okay, I like to run my XMOD wide open on my diveway full throttle almost the entire time, so its moving along pretty quick. But the right turns I make are like 100% oversteer and the left hand turns seem like they are understeer. I don't understand why. And I don't recall this happening before, but I could be wrong.
1. I checked how freely all the wheels spin, front are very close to the same and niether back wheel stops before the other, or hesitates to start up.
2. The car driver PERFECTLY straight when I'm just going straight, due to the servo adjustment I made a while ago.
3. The turning radius of the left and right turns are slightly difference (about a 3 inch difference when I did a half circle test) The right turn is the small turn radius, BUT the problem I'm talking about is gerastic to equal out the left and right turn at high speed I have to only turn the wheels about 1/4 right to equal full left, this may or may not have to do with it.
4. I have lost the screws that origionally were in the bottom of the front wheel(can't think of the word) cup things that the axels are held by. I replaced them with standard screws ju tto keep them aligned correctly. but this makes the suspension travel MUCH longer then it was intended to be (also may be causing something.)
Specs:
-Red Supra with a body kit
-stage 2 top speed motor
-5th cell
-bearings
-2WD
-mid suspension in front, stiff in back
light kit (with board mounted to the left of the battery in the top of the shell)
-Rim kit
-stock tires from origional returned XMOD that I toasted
[I may be able to get pics of stuff if anyone needs it]
Thanks to all who help!

most likely its not ur front end. check your rear wheels. hold up the car with the back facing toward you. check if the left and right are aligned. if one is angled downward(positive camber) and the other one isnt, then thats probably why the car turns right harder. (probably ur left wheel is angled downward) its because when you turn left both rear tires still keep contact with the ground, but when turning right the other wheel lifts up causing oversteer. try taking apart the rear end and sand down the sides of the rear plate to make both sides even. you dont wanna sand too much or ull have undesirable amounts of positive camber. another fix is to make a little rod connecting both arms together. kinda like a stabilizer bar. this will make them be even. but this will limit ur suspension. try searching. oh and those little cup thingy's are called knuckles i believe. hope this helps.

wow, I'm impressed. thats exactly what my rear left looks like, it has more posotive camber then the right. Also I need to find out why the suspension on the left side hangs up when I try and push the wheel up. Like at the beginning of the suspension travel it gets stuck on something and hesitates to go up, but after that, its smooth again. I don't get why because I just did a thorough cleaning of the thing and it did it before and after I cleaned; but it definitly wasnt always sticky.

hmm for the hanging problem. try checking through the suspension travel w/o the shocks in place. if it still hangs could be an axle joint or something. im not sure. also try compressing the shock between ur fingers. the plastic shocks tend to get stuck sometimes, but since you have the stiff springs in back im sure you have the metal shocks. if it isnt so smooth you could try some kind of lubricant. also make sure the spring is seated in right.

okay, the hang if definilty in the shock itself... or more like somehow the spring is causing it. I swapped the spring to a mid one just to see if it made a difference and the hand went away. Got any suggestions for that?
Also, yea, I'm using the metal ones from the shock kit.

what I did was just swap both back shocks to the old stock ones I have laying around. (just to keep em both the same) and that completely got ri dof the problem. I didn't have to do any adjustments to camber or anything.
