to lift it i made longer a arms for the back and put bigger shocks. im not quite sure how im gonna do the front yet but im sure it will come to me. the problem with the front is stock the xmod has a fixed lower a arm and to lift it you need one that swings. im not sure how im going to mount a swinging a arm to the front. ill post some pics in a couple hours after i finish the rear

In my opinion that looks somewhat too wide, making it easier to snap in half...yeah, not good. But cool.

i dont think any part is gonna snap in half from any "abuse" because its not gonna be super awesome when im done. it will be slow, under powered, and wont steer well. this is mostly for looks, not function. ill probably buy a new age mod lift kit when they are for sale

It does look a little flimsy but, what is it made out of? It looks like aluminum... Let us know...

it looked flimsy when i made it but it was actually just as sturdy if not stronger than the stock setup. It was made of aluminum so if you think the a-arm would break from any abuse that i could possibly put on it then your wrong. The a-arm was connected the same way the stock one was so if that broke it wouldnt be my fault. I never finished the lift kit. I never got around to figuring out the front part.

the almost completed shaft is already in there for mock up. basically i glued the old shaft to a plastic rod that would go into the wheel. I was going to make a mold for it later on in the project but the project was canceled before i ever got around to it. As for tie rod i guess you mean to make another attach ment point on the a arm but the xmod suspension doesnt work like that.

My "lift kit"
I'm completely changing the suspension geometry, with a custom double wishbone suspension, and lego technic tires, I will have around an inch of ground clearence front and rear, 45+ degrees of articulation, yet still be stock width. I have a Ford Expedition body that is lifted too. I call it project baja. The suspension is still in the building prototype stage. A micro elite stock, lithiums, and Atomicmods.com Wide-Track Bearings are in it's future. It should destroy mini-z overlands, as I have 4WD, and they don't.
