ZeroGravity: Stage 2
We, Team ZeroGravity, are out with our second video now. I'm doing a bigger variety of things in my new Evolution VI than in my last video. Less true drifting, but more fun ;p Small tabletops are not easy to stay on at high speeds...
I also did some slope climbing (tilted chair, woo~) to test out my torque, and Chaos launched his Civic off of our "Potato Ramp."
Here you go:
http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=22816
14.4mb, 3:41
The music is from the Initial D Battle Stage soundtrack. Scarlet - You're Gonna Be
There's also a lower quality version here:
http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=22817
3.9mb
It looks wierd though, but it's good enough if you really can't wait for the extra 10.5mb I guess.
Enjoy~
edit- By the way, our first video is available at:

My drifting setup:
AWD, carbon driveshaft
Differentials: F-ball R-positrak
Stage 2: white gears, spinbrush magnets, advanced timing
Tires: Scotch taped
Springs: F-Yellow R-Blue
Tie Rod: No toe-in (stock)
Batteries: Rayovak ic3's, shifted towards rear
Servo/resistor mod
The Evo has the RSX (middle) wheelbase.
Don't just copy my setup though.. Figure out what setup works best for your location and style. For example, if I feel like I'm oversteering too much one day, I might move my batteries to the front instead. If I'm going to drive in a big area, I might be better off with red or yellow gearing. Figure out what settings to use based on your needs.
I've never had an iBook before.. The laptop you saw probably was my Toshiba Tecra. I did all my editing on that machine using Windows Movie Maker 2.

It's basically having the rear act like it was a solid axle without the differential. This is accomplished by filling the differential with glue to lock it.
From a post of mine elsewhere:
-------------------------------------------------
Since the AWD kit comes with an extra gear diff, I felt perfectly safe gluing my differential down. I used hotglue, because it still is removable if necessary. I stuck the nozzle in between (the middle of) the center gear and the outside edge, and between each cone gear. When I pulled the hotglue trigger, it stuffed hotglue in between the gears, and partially under them. Then I pressed the glue flat with my finger (still hot) until it cooled just enough to release my finger (still moldable), then screwed the differential top on. Here's the result:

See the ring of reflected light around the center gear? That's from the inside of the differential cover. The blue blurs are the cone gears.

A good way to break one of the ball joints.

Team ZeroGravity is located in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.
The Evo VI is a mini-z body, which was easily converted for the Xmod.
I've never broken any joints, but everyone seems to have so many problems with them...
