making drift tires anyone interested?
im thinking of making drift tires so you can drift out side. they would probally be grey, or if i painted them, maybe black. before i made a whole bunch of them, i was wondering if anyone is interested.
btw you would have to sand the ring off the rs rims.

the tires will be pvc based but the tire will be the same size as the stock tires that come with the xmod. im planing on putting tread on them. it will be three rings around the tire, so you could put your own tread pattern on. i am loosely basing them around the yokomo drift cars tires.

You'll still only get like 50% of normal traction. ITS LOUD too, when the wheels barely even roll.
I have tried it, and besides after a while the wheels grind down and i can smell burning pvc lol. Just trust me, its not much fun.

loud cars, worn down tires, and burning rubber(plastic), sounds like drifting to me.
btw how long did the tires last, and how loud was it.

Look at how slow they go in the video, it looks really gay. Try using tape on your wheels. I've used some green matte finish painters tape that worked well and duct tape works alright but it's hard to work with. With such low grip using pvc you won't go fast, you can drift all you want at 3 mph but how fun is that?
Go into your local supermarket late at night with hard tires and AWD. Throw some pennies down for pylons or grab a ball from the toy isle and play soccer, use a pack of maxipads for goals. That is the best drifting i've found to date. When you hear some one say "security please come up front" on the pa system that is your cue to leave.
